Gantries and Cantilevers

Full or partial road coverage for signalisation and monitoring

A gantry is the ideal solution when signalisation, monitoring, or tolling equipment needs to cover the entire width of the road, with signs, variable message panels, cameras, or toll structures positioned directly above the traffic lanes. The structure consists of two vertical columns connected by a horizontal beam (trussed or tubular), sized to safely span the full width of the road while withstanding wind loads and the weight of the installed equipment. This configuration is widely used on multi-lane highways, toll plazas, tunnel entrances, and sections with electronic enforcement systems.

A cantilever, in turn, is the alternative used when it isn't necessary to cover the entire width of the road, or when space constraints, medians, structures, or aesthetic considerations prevent the installation of a second column on the opposite side. Fixed on a single base, with a cantilevered beam projecting over part of the traffic lanes, the cantilever represents a significant reduction in installation cost compared to a full gantry, without compromising structural strength or compliance with NBR 6323.

Individual support with a certified passive-safety option (ZIPpole)

A mast arm consists of a vertical column and a horizontal arm that extends over the road, positioning signs, traffic lights, or cameras directly above the traffic lane, ideal for intersections and specific applications. Manufactured in hot-dip galvanized carbon steel in accordance with NBR 6323, it is sized according to the weight and type of equipment installed.

Technomast also offers a collapsible version, based on ZIPpole technology, reaching up to 8 meters in length with passive safety certification. This solution eliminates the need for metal guardrails, reducing costs.
